Declining graduation rates and increasing student loan debts are topics of concern in Washington.
(WLNS) - On Tuesday dozens of same-sex supporters are expected to begin rallying at the Capitol, hoping their petition will pick-up even more support.
The group "Marriage Equality" has already gotten nearly 14,000 signatures on the petition.
The petition asks Governor Rick Snyder and Attorney General Bill Schuette to drop their appeal, following a federal judge's ruling to allowing gay marriage in Miichigan.
The group plans to host a press conference beginning at 1 p.m.
On Saturday, 322 people tied the knot. Those same 322 are hoping to find out on Wednesday, if Michigan will recognize their union.
