Prices jump 30, 40 cents a gallon
LANSING, MI (WLNS) - Governor Snyder has signed nine bills that will open up Michigan micro-breweries to producing more barrels of beer.
The legislation doubles the limit going from 30,000 to 60,000 barrels a year.
It also opens the door to micro-breweries that produce less than 1,000 barrels of beer per year to distribute it directly to retailers.
The Michigan brewers guild says the state's brewing industry brings in more than $133 million to the economy and more than $24 million in wages.
