University Urges Spartan Fans To Celebrate Responsibly

Posted: Updated:

EAST LANSING, MI (WLNS) - Don't get burned. That's what university officials are warning Spartan fans through posters.

Awareness posters are out for display to remind students and fans to avoid any destructive gatherings.

It happened before following the MSU football victory over Ohio State in the Big 10 Championship game.

At least 57 fires were started and police made nearly 30 arrests.

Anyone within 300 feet of an open flame faces 90 days in jail, hundreds of dollars in fines and for MSU students, they could be suspended or expelled.
