President Obama Expected To Speak In Ann Arbor

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - President Obama and his entourage will touch down in Ann Arbor Tuesday to deliver a speech at the University of Michigan.

He'll be talking about how he wants to give America a raise.

President Obama pitched the idea during his State of the Union address.

He wants to boost the federal minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $10.10 per hour. It would be a gradual increase.

The White House says raising the minimum wage would benefit more than 970,000 workers in Michigan.

The president will address the crowd on campus at 2:30 p.m.
