Trooper Shooter Sentenced To Life In Prison

LUDINGTON, MI (WLNS) - A 20-year-old man has been sentenced to life for his role in the shooting death of Trooper Paul Butterfield, this according to our media partners at WWMT.

Trooper Butterfield was killed back in September 2013.

Eric Knysz was found guilty of first-degree murder for fatally shooting a Michigan state trooper during a traffic stop.

Knysz does not have the option for parole.

Sarah Knysz, Eric's wife was sentenced to 2-5 years for being an accessory to the murder.
