Teen Convicted As Adult After Pizza Robbery

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - A 14-year-old was sentenced Tuesday for his role in a robbery last fall and the severe beating of two women at a Jet's Pizza in Lansing.

The robbery happened back in November 2013 at the Jet's Pizza in the Frandor shopping center.

Along with the 14-year-old police charged a 19-year-old with being part of that robbery.

They say the pair used a shotgun to beat the two women working there and that the attack was un-provoked.

At his sentencing the 14-year-old was convicted as an adult and will now go to a juvenile detention facility.

His sentencing will be reviewed yearly and a judge will decide what to do once he turns 18.
