Sheriff To Discuss Case Of Missing Michigan Doctor

Posted: Updated:

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) - The Kalamazoo County sheriff's department has called a news conference to discuss the case of a Michigan doctor missing since December.

Porter County, Ind., Coroner Chuck Harris tells The Associated Press in a text that autopsy results will be released Wednesday morning. That coincides with the news conference in Michigan by Kalamazoo County Sheriff Richard Fuller.

A car belonging to 30-year-old Dr. Teleka Patrick of Kalamazoo was abandoned along Interstate 94 in northwestern Indiana on Dec. 5. Authorities pulled a woman's body from nearby Lake Charles on Sunday.

The body's identity hasn't been released.

Michigan authorities say Patrick behaved strangely and erratically with colleagues and others before her disappearance.

Lake Charles is about 15 miles east of Gary, Ind. Police and FBI agents searched the lake Jan. 23 for Patrick.
