Crime Stoppers: 1 Request For Assistance, 2 Wanted For Felonies

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - Crime Stoppers of mid-Michigan is asking for the public's help with one requset for assistance and to find two people wanted for felonies.

1 Request for Assistance:
Lansing Police officers received information of a hate crime at an apartment complex parking lot int he 400 block of N. Cedar Street on March 19. Someone carved the initials "kkk" into the drivers side door or a burgundy SUV.

The victim reported that the SUV had been parked undamaged on March 18 at 1 p.m. and said they discovered the kkk on March 19 at 1 p.m. According to officials additional damage was found on both sides of the SUV.

The Lansing Police Department is investigating this matter as a hate crime. If you have any information, call Sergeant David Ellis or Sergeant Christopher Baldwin at (517) 483-6842 or email david.ellis@lansingmi.gov.

Felony 1:
Victor Manuel Barrera II has a felony warrant for assault out of Lansing. Barrera is 19-years-old, 5'9" and weighs 140 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Felony 2:
Steven Darrell Couthen has a felony warrant for larceny out of Lansing. Couthen is 42-years-old, 6'1" and weighs 270 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
