Declining graduation rates and increasing student loan debts are topics of concern in Washington.
(WLNS) - Some controversial raises will likely be the focus of discussion tonight at the Blackman Township Board of Trustees meeting.
It's the first meeting since the board approved substantial, in some cases doubling or quadrupling, salary increases for the township supervisor, clerk and treasurer.
Not long after more than 90 pages of signatures were collected and turned in as part of an effort to remove the raises.
If the signatures are verified the issue will be put-up for vote in August.
Some in support of the pay increases say they're long overdue.
6 News will continue to follow this story and will have more tonight on 6 News at 5 and 6.
