GM Issues Second Recall For Cars Already Recalled

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - The investigation into General Motors continues as more cars are being recalled.

The automaker says another part needs to be fixed on millions of cars that are already recalled for something else.

This time it's the ignition lock cylinders on 2.6 million small cars. GM says the defect can allow drivers to take the key out of the ignition while their car is running, which could cause a roll away or crash.

The cars recalled are all the same models recalled for an ignition issue that's linked to 13 deaths. Those are the Chevrolet Cobalt, Chevrolet HHR, Saturn Ion, Saturn Sky, Pontiac Solstice and Pontiac G5 with model years of 2003-2011.
