(WLNS) - Governor Rick Snyder put pen to paper signing new legislation that will place greater regulation on mobile dental clinics in Michigan.
The state is tightening restrictions on mobile dental clinics that travel to places like schools, nursing homes and low-income areas.
Snyder signed the law that requires mobile dental units to have a permit from the Department of Community Health.
The law also gives that department more control over the units, including what equipment is used, and how patients are referred to local doctors.
