(WLNS) - At least two local women are showing they're both Michigan strong and Boston strong.
CMU student Mackenzie Frasso will be running in her first Boston Marathon after originally qualifying to be there last year.
And Cooley Law's director of communications Terry Carella will be returning for her ninth race after being at the finish line last year when the bombs exploded.
Carella says it was a moment that changed her as a person but also one that motivated her.
"I literally couldn't sleep until they caught the second brother that Friday. Nothing like this kind of experience will make a runner dig their heels deeper and say we are going to be there, we are going to show you. We are going to survive and become better people because of it," said Carella.
In a "Boston Strong" themed Tell Me Something Good on Friday 6News Evan Pinsonnault will share more of Terry's incredible marathon journey from the finish line in Boston to Lansing and back.
