Boston Remembers Marathon Bombings

Posted: Updated:

BOSTON (AP) - Boston is pausing today to remember the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings on this day last year.

The day began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the site of the twin explosions.

The families of the three bombing victims were there, as were relatives of an MIT police officer who was killed during an effort to apprehend the suspects.

Survivors are expected to speak at an event honoring the victims later today.

CBS News will interrupt regular programming at approximately 2:45pm with live coverage of a moment of silence followed by ringing of church bells from Boston.
