(WLNS) - A study reveals that the chief executives of publicly traded companies in Michigan make 171 times more than the average worker in the state.

Our media partners at MLive report that the CEOs also earn 455 times more than the earnings of full-time minimum wage workers.

The study comes from the AFL-CIO's 2014 Executive Pay Watch.

According to the findings the average CEO in Michigan makes an annual salary of $7,004,386.  That compares to $40,898 earned by the average worker in the state and $15,392 minimum wage workers make on average yearly.
