LANSING, MI (WLNS) - Cristo Rey Church put on their annual Stations of the Cross walk in downtown Lansing Friday afternoon.

The walk re-enacted the 14 stations of the cross, the final steps in the life of Jesus.

For the third year in a row, Jesus was portrayed by Jose Gallo, a high school senior from Venezuela. He says it's an honor and thanks God for granting him acceptance into Michigan State University.

The walk ended at the Cristo Rey Communicty Center with the Good Friday adoration of the cross and communion service.

This event has taken place in downtown Lansing since 1978.
