Posted: Updated:

LANSING, MI (WLNS) - If you're looking for something fun to do this holiday weekend, you may want to consider the Micro Brew and Music Festival.

The Micro Brew and Music Festival is at Adado River Front Park and starts Friday night.

Local beer, food and musicians will be on tap for the two-day event.

It's sure to be a night filled with Michigan craft beer, local beers and great food. Organizers are expecting thousands to show up at the doors over the next two days.

"Our big focus is really on the local so we start with what's the best place making values of a region," said Sam Porter, Founder of the Microbrew festival. "And we reach out to that community and say 'help us understand how to source local food, how to source local beer.'"

If you're looking for music, food and fun, this is the place to be. Tickets are $45 at the door and you must be 21 to enter. The $45 will get you five tickets to try a few of the 8 oz beers at the event.

Even out-of-towners are making their way to the Capital City to enjoy the event.

"Its amazing everyone has been very generous, kind and sweet," said Alissa Steiner, from Cincinnati. "We've been visiting the booths, everyone's been inviting."

All of the alcohol proceeds will go to two non-profit organizations, The Greater Lansing Food Bank and Zero Waste Events.
