Blackman Township Board Recalls Take Next Step

Posted: Updated:
(WLNS) - A recall petition for two members of the Blackman Township board is now in the hands of officials at the Jackson County clerk's office.

The "Better Blackman Group" turned in the petitions Monday.

The group hopes to force Mark Singer and Betty Brockie out of office after they voted to approve almost $100,000 of salary hikes for three board members.

That's according to our media partners at the Jackson Citizen Patriot.

They're reporting the recall petitions must now head to the State Board of Canvassers where they will have to be approved in order for the process to move on.
