Raising Radon Awareness

Posted: Updated:
(WLNS) - Every day we're exposed to chemicals and toxic substances that put our lives at risk.

Specifically, the chemical radon and that odorless gas is commonly found in homes.

You can't see it, you can't smell it but it is lethal.

And today state representative Ben Glardon is giving residents the chance to learn more about the health risks associated with elevated indoor radon levels.

He, along with an expert from the Michigan Indoor Radon Program, will hold an event where community members can ask questions.

The event that could possibly save your life begins at 6:30 pm this evening and will be held at the Baker College welcome center in Owosso.

Indoor air quality experts will be on hand to answer questions about safe radon levels in the home and handle any other home chemical concerns.
