BWL Phone Scam Threatens To Turn Off Utility Services

LANSING, MI (WLNS) - The Lansing Board of Water and Light is warning of a phone scam.

Someone is calling people and threatening to turn off their utility services if they don’t make a payment immediately over the phone. The call shows up from (517) 515-5202.

The BWL says they'll never call you to ask for credit card information over the phone.

If you get a suspicious call, contact BWL customer service at (517) 702-6006 or local police.
