Fraternity Party Ends In Gunfire

Posted: Updated:
(WLNS) - Police responded to the Lansing Center shortly after midnight Saturday as a fraternity party turned violent, ending in gun-fire.

Police say between 3000 and 4000 people were in attendance and as the event wrapped up a number of fights broke out.

Police say they arrested several people on various charges and officers were already on the scene when they heard gun-shots fired near the intersection of Michigan and Washington just a few blocks from the Lansing Center.

Police say no one was hurt and that they can't be certain the shots were related to the party.

A Lansing Police Department spokesperson says those arrested would likely be charged with misdemeanors.
