Power Out: GM Workers Sent Home From Delta Plant

Posted: Updated:
(WLNS) - Nearly 400 workers from the General Motors Delta Township plant are eating their lunches at home this afternoon after being sent home due to a power outage at the plant this morning.

GM officials say a transformer blew around 9:00 a.m. causing the plant to lose power.

The light weren't off for long but it's going to take a while before all the equipment is back up, tested and working properly.

Workers from the first shift were sent home but second shift workers are asked to report to work at their normal time.
