GM Bailout Report Surprise For Taxpayers

Posted: Updated:
(WLNS) - A new report shows that the bail-out of General Motors may have cost taxpayers more money than previously thought.

The numbers come from a quarterly report to Congress by a government watchdog group.

It shows that the cost was nearly $11.2 Billion and that's up from a previous estimate of $10.5 Billion.

The government sold it's remaining shares of GM in December effectively ending federal involvement with the automaker.
