Capital Area Humane Society Offers Unique Adoption Event

(WLNS) - It's spring time! 

Which means the weather is getter warmer...

So maybe it's time to consider a new by adopting a new furry friend for the family, you can!

Tonight the Capital Area Humane Society and the East Lansing Public Library is giving you that opportunity.

The two organizations have come up with a unique way of getting the community involved by creating an adoption event that promotes transforming lifestyles of animals through the East Lansing Public Library's "Geek" program.

Future pet owners will have the chance to make crafts and toys for pets at the event.

They will also get to adopt everything from a dog named mMn-Man to Mr. Fluffy, the bunny.

The society is also asking you to fill their wish list with donations like paper towels, puppy food, clorox, and laundry detergent because after all, they do more than 40 loads of laundry a day!

The event takes place tonight from 6pm to 8pm at the East Lansing Public Library. The event is open to the public.
