(WLNS) - Starting Monday morning there will be no more winter weight restrictions on state highways in the Lower Peninsula.
The seasonal weight restrictions are put in place in Michigan to minimize the impact of heavy trucks on our roads during the spring freeze and thaw cycle.
The changes lower the axle-loading limits and reduce speed limits.
Weight restrictions are still in effect in the Upper Peninsula.
