(WLNS) - Before you eat breakfast or pack your lunch today think about this: eating more fruits and vegetables may reduce your risk of stroke.

Looking over more than 20 years of studies involving more than 700,000 people world-wide.

Researchers found double-digit decreases in stroke risk for every 200 grams of fruit and veggies a person consumes each day.

The American Heart Association, which published the study, recommends the average adult eat 4 to 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day.
