(WLNS) - Police and fire departments worked together to rescue two Michigan teens Sunday.
Authorities rescued the 14-year-old girls from a raft on Lake Michigan near New Buffalo.
The teens fell asleep and their raft drifted 300 yards from shore.
The girls didn't have life jackets or paddles but according to police they did have a cell phone.
The girls called their parents, who notified police.
Police and fire departments from three townships along with the Coast Guard were called to the scene and pulled the girls to safety.
