(WLNS) - Obviously police are continuing to investigate what happened but they were able to fill in some holes and answer some questions we didn't know yesterday.
First they identified both shooting victims who died yesterday.
Police named 35-year-old Rite Aid pharmacist Michael Addo of Mason and 27 year old Jordan Rogers of East Lansing the victims in this case.
Police say they could not comment on whether the shooter knew either of these two victims and, though they didn't clear it up completely, they did shed some light on the man's motive.
"What we do know is that it wasn't a robbery attempt for guns drugs or money. Through the course of the investigation we're going to look at all angles. How did it get to a point where this incident escalated to gun violence," said Lansing police chief Mike Yankowski.
Many people thought yesterday it was a possibility the shooter may have been after prescription drugs. You heard there police chief Yankowski saying that's not the case.
They'll continue to investigate--
and we'll identify the shooter as soon as he's arraigned.
I spoke with a someone who knew Jordan Rogers-- the victim in the Coolidge shooting.
Nick Ellena says his daughter and Rogers had been dating for a few years and, as you can understand, quite shocked that this happened.
hH said his daughter and Jordan did have concerns about loud noise from suspect's home who they say went by the name Ricard.
Ellena says his daughter told them she recalls an argument the night before around nine between the suspect and Jordan and thought it would be resolved Monday morning.
But that didn't happen instead gun shots killing the 27 year old and father too soon.
"i just want to give my condolences to them and let everyone know that this was a good man, a good young man," said Nick Ellena, whose daughter dated the victim.
We're learning more about the other shooting victim tonight as well.
According to our media partners at MLive Michael Addo was known as a friendly Rite Aid pharmacist from Mason who was originally from Ghana.
His wife and toddler live there and he hoped to return there to open his own pharmacy
