Lansing Police Seek Ambulance Thief

(WLNS) - Lansing police are looking for the person responsible for stealing an ambulance late last night.

Officers got the call around 10:30 p.m. to the Sparrow St. Lawrence Hospital on West Saginaw Street.

Police say whoever was driving the ambulance left their vehicle running at the emergency area to help a patient into the hospital.

But when they got back the ambulance was gone.

Not long after police found it near the corner of Michigan Avenue and Huron Street.

According to officials it wasn't damaged and has been returned to the hospital.

But police are still investigating.
