Program Offers Free Eye Exams & Glasses

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - We all know the importance of eating healthy, exercising and seeing our doctor regularly and that includes your eye doctor.

But sometimes your eye health gets put on the back burner, maybe for financial reasons.

That's why a mobile global charity called 'Eyes of Hope' is making its way around the country to provide free eye exams for those in need and they're headed to mid-Michigan!

On June 2nd, VSP Vision Care will partner with Care Free Optometry Clinic to provide free comprehensive eye exams and glasses to uninsured Lansing area residents. Their goal is to identify undiagnosed eye health problems and provide clear vision.

Doctors say with good vision a person will do better at their job, learn more at school, read books, and enjoy life more!

With good vision a person can better understand their environment.

At the event Lansing area residents will be receiving eye exams by local optometrists in VSP's 45ft, fully stocked, state-of-the-art mobile eye exam clinic and in the Care Free Optometry Clinic. Any needed eyeglasses will be provided by VSP at no charge.

There are 30-40 appointment slots left.

To make your appointment: call the Care Free Optometry Clinic and ask for Nicole at 517-272-4007 ext.1
