(WLNS) - The latest crash test safety ratings are out.
And a vehicle made in Lansing has made top marks.
The tests look at vehicles with "crash test prevention" systems.
Eight different models earned the highest safety rating.
The 2014 Chevy Impala is the only non-luxury car to earn top grades.
But the Lansing made Cadillac CTS was also given the highest rating.
The vehicles had to warn drivers of impending collisions and apply automatic brakes to slow down the car, in order to receive top grade.
Safety officials hopes the results encourage other automakers to jump on board and install crash prevention systems.
