Jackson Firefighters Rescue Dog From Smoky House

Posted: Updated:
(WLNS) - Mac the dog is alive and well today after a heroic rescue from a smoke-filled Jackson house yesterday.

Firefighters were called to a house fire in the 700 block of North East street just after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

They were told no people were in the house but the family pets were inside.

According to our media partners at the Jackson Citizen Patriot, the cat got out fine but firefighters had to use an oxygen mask to revive Mac the dog.
Both animals were taken to a local veterinarian.
