Michigan Working To Reduce Secretary Of State Wait Times

Posted: Updated:
LANSING, MI (WLNS) – If you’ve ever had to wait at the Secretary of State’s office, you’re not alone.

Well, to reduce the wait time and make doing business easier state officials are partnering with local businesses to cut the wait time down.

Starting this fall, people in Michigan will be able to perform limited services including renewing their driver's licenses and getting new plates at selected AAA offices.

The insurance company is planning to equip each of its 31 locations with computers for people to do that.

But that's not all; Michigan is hoping to partner with "other places" like Meijer and public libraries to offer similar services.
