(WLNS) - A rare Monday meeting for the Michigan Senate ended up as little more than just that.
Senators spent part of the day discussing a plan to increase the gas tax to help raise money for roads.
Despite talks no vote happened.
The tax plan would gradually increase the 19-cents a gallon gas tax to 43 cents by 2018 adding some much-needed funds for fixing our roads.
Some lawmakers oppose the plan and would rather prefer asking voters to increase the sales tax to increase funding.
