Prison inmates train service dogs to be given to disabled children.
The Velocity Network recently made a stop in mid-Michigan to check out the couple's '65 Mustang
But as our Nick Perreault explains, this isn't just any old classic car.
From the engine to the paint and the model the Persell's knew this was the classic car they were looking for for years.
"We bought it sight unseen, we had not seen it, he just described it," said car owner Dave Persell.
This 1965 Ford Mustang had only been driven for 4800 miles.
"It is what we call our little 289 peanut," said Purcell.
The first Ford they ever owned and likely the first car for michigan rock star Bob Seger.
"it's a love affair and you go to the car shows and you meet people who experience similar mechanical issues," added Persell.
Which is why Dave feels Bob Seger sold this car. It had a wrong fly wheel, causing the car to shake.
It's since been fixed and Dave and his wife Kay take it to car shows every chance they get.
Now one thing the Percells say you won't see around their 1965 Mustang, a sign that says do not touch, don't touch the paint the door
or get it in, one of the reasons why they say you won't see that is because they actually encourage people to get involved and get in touch
with this classic automobile.
"When you put a kid in this car and mom and dad takes their picture that kid is hooked and they are hooked for a long time and they'll remember that and we think that's cool," said Persell.
A cool feeling and collectors item that this couple says they won't be letting go anytime soon.
