BWL General Manager Expected To Respond To Ice Storm Reports

Posted: Updated:
(WLNS) - After hearing from the community about changes the Lansing Board of Water and Light needs to make general manager Peter Lark is expected to respond today.

The most recent reports point out that BWL did not have adequate communication with the city nor did the company have enough crews and spotters

on the ground in the early stages of the ice storm last December.

But after nearly half a dozen reports, company general manager, Peter Lark will finally give his reaction on the most recent Community Review Team report today.

A Community Review Team formed in response to how BWLl handled the December ice storm spent three months working on a report detailing what went wrong and how the company could improve.

They released their report in early May.

It's findings and recommendations were supported by the Michigan Public Service Commission at the end of last month.

The company's board of commissioners, including Lark, will meet today.

That meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. at their REO Town headquarters.
