Eaton County Deputies Investigate Break-Ins At Same Store

(WLNS) - Several law enforcement agencies are in Eaton County searching for several people involved in an early morning break-in.

Lansing police, who actually assisted on the call, tell 6 News three men broke into a store and may have even got away with weapons.

It happened at the 3200 block of Waverly Road just after 2:30 this morning.

Police say three men tried to break into the "Hats and Shirts" store. 

Eaton County sheriffs were in the area and got there quickly.

But the three men ran away from the scene on foot and police were only able to catch one.

They brought in a K-9 unit to assist in the search.

Police are not sure if the weapons 
were stolen from the store but they were able to recover one weapon.

A short time later multiple subjects could be seen trying to break out the glass door to the same business.

According to police one of the men pulled out a handgun and fired one round into the door.

Deputies then approached and the suspects fled.

One person was taken into custody, while other police tried to locate the other suspects.
