Capitol Conservation Money Gets OK

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - Both the Michigan House and Senate unanimously agreed to set aside money each year to help maintain the iconic State Capitol building.

At least $3 million each year from the state's General Fund will keep the building and grounds looking its best.

The money will be adjusted for inflation.

It's been 21 years since our state's Capitol building has seen a major restoration.
