Rare Double Tornadoes Spotted

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - We may be in line for some storms today but not much chance of what happened in Nebraska.

There the governor has declared a state of emergency
after a day of deadly severe weather.

There were several reports of funnel clouds and tornadoes.

Stormchasers captured a this very rare sight: twin funnel clouds touched down in northeast Nebraska.

They formed about a mile apart roughly 100 miles northwest of Omaha.

At least one person was killed and more than a dozen others were hurt by the storms.

Witnesses say at least one of the funnel clouds lifted off the ground several times, before touching down again.
