Longer Sentences For Drive-By Shootings

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - Drive-by shooters will now look at much longer prison sentences for their crime.

Governor Rick Snyder signed legislation Monday increasing time behind bars to 10 years for drive-by shootings.

And that's if you don't hit anyone.

Criminals will get longer sentences if there are injuries or death.

A similar law clarifies that shooting into a building is a crime without prosecutors needing to prove someone was in the building.
