UPDATE: 4:44pm - Police on the scene of a standoff in Meridian Township have apparently taken someone into custody.
6 News cameras were there when officers converged and an ambulance backed up to the scene at a set of condos along the Nemoke Trails development.
Moments later, two officers walked out with a shirtless man between them, his hands apparently cuffed behind his back.
It happened at the scene where officers had surrounded a condo with the suspect from an armed robbery inside. Police say someone had stolen drugs from the Mid-Michigan's Physicians complex in Lansing Township and threatened to blow up the building.
Police have also cleared both areas and re-opened the roads to traffic.
UPDATED (WLNS) - Police are gathering outside a Meridian Township condo where they believe a suspect in connection with an armed robbery and bomb threat is barricaded.
Police tell 6 News that the suspect is inside his condo in the Nemoke Trails development. Neighboring homes are being evacuated. Bomb teams are on the scene at this hour and police have closed the 1700 and 1800 blocks of Nemoke Trail to traffic.
Meridian Township police say the man is in his 50's. They wouldn't say if he has a police record.
Just before 1:00 p.m., police say the suspect walked into the pharmacy in the Mid-Michigan Physicians building in the 1500 block of Lake Lansing Road in Lansing Township and demanded drugs.
He showed employees what he called an explosive device strapped to his body.
He also said he had placed explosives elsewhere in the building.
The building is closed until further notice while a bomb squad searches the building. 6 News has several crews in multiple locations and we will be updating this story live on 6 News and online at wlns.com.
