Posted: Updated:

EAST LANSING, MI (WLNS) - Michigan State University put together a time lapse video of the corpse flower that had visitors plugging their nose this week.

According to MSU, the corpse flower is a rare flower that emits an odor comparable to rotting flesh. The corpse flower can take up to 50 years to bloom. The wait wasn't nearly as long for Michigan State University. The corpse flower at MSU last bloomed in 2010. The corpse flower's bloom only lasts for a day or two.
