Jackson Police Arrest Drive-Up Window Robbery Suspect

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - A quick-thinking Wendy's employee helped Jackson police track a suspect they say tried an unusual approach to robbing the restaurant.

Police tell 6 News that late last night a man walked up to the drive-thru window and grabbed the employee's arm.

The suspect reportedly showed a knife and demanded money.

That's when the employee pulled her arm free and the suspect took off on foot.

She was not hurt and provided the suspect's description to police.

The K-9 team tracked the suspect to the 700 block of Gettysburg where the 32-year old suspect was arrested for attempted armed robbery.

Police say the suspect could be arraigned as soon as this afternoon.
