Lansing Police Divers Recover Missing Man's Body From Grand River

(WLNS) - Lansing Police divers have recovered the body of a missing 22-year-old man from the Grand River in the vicinity of the Washington and South Street.

Police have confirmed the body found is the body of Brandon Mitchner.

Mitchner's body was found around 1 p.m. Monday by the Capital Area Dive Team. Officials say the Ingham County Medical Examiner is working with investigators to find out how Mitchner ended up in the river and the cause of his death.

Divers had been searching for Brandon Mitchner who was with a friend when he reportedly slipped on the embankment and fell into the river Sunday morning.
