Lansing City Clerk Extends Hours For Absentee Voters

(WLNS) - Voting by absentee ballot is an option if you're unable to make it to the voting booth for the August 5 primary.

To help Lansing voters make their voices heard on election day City Clerk Chris Swope is extending office hours at the South Washington Office Complex Election Center in the days leading up to the primary vote. The Election Center is located at 2500 S. Washington.

The office will be open to allow one-stop absentee voting until 4 p.m. the day before the election.  Please remember to bring approved picture identification to expedite the process.

Monday through Friday office hours will still be 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. with extended hours on the following dates and times: 

                                Sunday,   July 27                   Noon – 4:00 p.m.

                                Saturday, August 2              8 a.m. – 2 p.m.             

                                Tuesday,  August 5     6 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Drop off completed ballots only)

City of Lansing voters can also come to the City Clerk’s Office on the 9th floor of City Hall during regular business hours to complete the absentee voter application and ballots, too.
