Highway Death Toll Drops In Michigan

Posted: Updated:

(WLNS) - So far this month the number of deadly traffic crashes are down in Michigan.

That's largely due to a decrease over the 4th of July holiday weekend.

According to a new report from the Michigan State Police four people died in four separate crashes during that extended weekend.

That's down from 19 deaths last year.

State Police say alcohol was a factor in two of those accidents.

The holiday weekend ran from 6 p.m. Thursday July 3rd through midnight on Sunday.
