(WLNS) - A 29-year old Mason man is held without bond in the Ingham County jail after his arrest in Kansas.
Katlin Ambler is facing charges of first degree Personal Injury Criminal Sexual Conduct for an alleged assault that took place June 24 in Aurelius Township.
Investigators tell 6 News that Ambler fled to Kansas to avoid arrest.
The Ingham County Sheriff's Office and the Michigan State Police Fugitive Team combined to track Amblin and make the arrest.
Apparently the victim and suspect were acquainted through mutual friends but did not otherwise know each other.
Ambler will next be in court July 15 with his preliminary exam scheduled for July 17.
