Road Closures Information For The Color Run

(WLNS) - When "The Color Run" comes to Lansing it's just over three miles of party.  Tomorrow morning participants in the second annual event will take the celebration through a number of downtown streets.

Please check below for a list of street and lane closures, to better help plan your day. Lansing Police will have a number of officers at the event to work with traffic and crowd control.

-Street closures and lane restrictions will be in effect between 5:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Capitol Avenue between Ionia Street and Allegan Street,

Ionia Street between Capitol Avenue and Washington Square,

Michigan Avenue between Capitol Avenue and Washington Square.

-Street closures and lane restrictions will be in effect between 6:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Townsend Street between Lenawee Street and Kalamazoo Street,

Allegan Street between ML King Jr. Boulevard and Capitol Avenue,

Ottawa Street between Capitol and Butler (lane restriction south side),

Pine Street between Ottawa Street and Washtenaw Street,

Walnut Street between Kalamazoo Street and Ottawa Street,

Grand Avenue between Washtenaw Street and Michigan Avenue (lane restriction west side).

-Street closures and lane restrictions will be in effect between 6:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Ottawa Street between Grand Avenue and Capitol Avenue,

Washington Square between Ottawa Street and Ionia Street,

Ionia Street between Seymour Street and Washington Square,

Washtenaw Street between Washington Square and Pine Street.

-Street closures and lane restrictions will be in effect between 7:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Kalamazoo Street between Grand Avenue and Pine Street,

Washington Square between Washtenaw Street and Hillsdale Street,

Lenawee Street between Grand Avenue and Walnut Street

Townsend Street between Kalamazoo Street and Allegan Street, Capitol Avenue between Allegan Street and Lenawee Street, Grand Avenue between Michigan Avenue and Shiawassee Street, and Shiawassee between Capitol Avenue and Grand Avenue.

Organizers expect 8,000 runners will participate with thousands more people cheering them on.
