HUDSONVILLE, Mich. (AP) - A Michigan construction company says it's shutting down all of its operations, after announcing a partial shutdown earlier this week.
Carl Blauwkamp, president and CEO of Lamar Construction Company said Friday that all of its 280 employees will be affected. About 170 employees live in west Michigan, 80 in Colorado and 30 in Kentucky. He adds a revival of the 76-year-old company is unlikely.
The full shutdown comes after a bank pulled its line of credit to the company following unexpected losses. Blauwkamp declined to comment further.
The newspaper reported Wednesday, the company announced it was closing its construction operations, laying off 180 employees.
