Posted: Updated:

LANSING, MI (WLNS) - A man is undergoing mental health evaluations after a tense situation in Lansing.

The man was in a home in the 2,100 block of Webster Street.

Concerned family members called for help, worried about this man inside the home. Police say he was drunk, and possibly suicidal. Not long after they arrived on scene police say they heard what they thought was a gunshot from inside.

Negotiators were called and were able to talk him out of the home safely. He was then taken into custody.
