Posted: Updated:
(WLNS) - The suspicious death of a 42-year-old Lansing man whose body was found back in May is now being called a homicide.

According to the Ingham County Medical Examiner Terry Alber died of blunt force trauma.

His body was found May 4 in the 400 block of North Larch. 6 News spoke with officials Friday and asked why it took nearly two months to rule this case a homicide.

“This isn't unusual at all this time frame in fact it came a little bit quicker than normal based on all of the test that had to be ran specific to this case, have we, do we have circumstances or other cases were the results come back much quicker certainly but in a case like this and the test that needed to be done this timeline was right on track,” said Captain Darin Southworth, LPD Investigation Division.

At this point police do not have anyone in custody and are still looking for more details. If you have any information, call Detective Mike Looney at (517) 517-6869 or Crime Stoppers at (517) 483-STOP.
